Danny Jones Recreation Complex

The Danny Jones Recreation Complex is a central community hub in North Charleston, offering aquatics, athletics, and outdoor activities for residents of all ages. A major redevelopment enhanced the site with an updated aquatics center, a gymnasium with basketball courts, tennis courts, a roller hockey rink, multipurpose fields, and improved parking.

Atlantic Electric performed the electrical work for the redevelopment. The team installed temporary power and lighting, a complete underground electrical distribution system, and underground conduits for telecom services and data feeders. Interior distribution equipment with a custom FleXset switchboard supported branch power, mechanical equipment, and wiring devices. Additional work included interior and exterior lighting for parking lots and sports facilities, lighting controls, fire alarm and emergency responder radio systems, raceways for telecommunications and security, audio/video and scoring power connections, lightning protection and grounding, seismic supports, and housekeeping pads for electrical equipment.
