P457 Cryogenics Facility
Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort is a premier training and operational base for U.S. Marine Corps aviation. To support aircraft maintenance and mission readiness, the installation is expanding with a modern cryogenics complex for the production and storage of liquid oxygen and nitrogen, along with new administrative and maintenance areas.
Atlantic Electric provided comprehensive electrical construction, including temporary power and lighting, overhead transmission and distribution, and a 1,000 kVA, 15 kV transformer with cabling and terminations. The work also included underground medium-voltage distribution with manholes and handholes, grounding and lightning protection, and an exterior fiber-optic data system. Interior elements encompassed distribution panels, branch power and equipment connections, structured telecommunications pathways, fire alarm and mass-notification systems, interior lighting and controls, and exterior site lighting.
