Client: Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority

Location: Reagan National Airport, Arlington, VA

Contract Value: $13,690,000

Project Duration: February 2023 to Present

Reagan National Airport is a key transportation hub for the nation’s capital, accommodating millions of passengers annually. Rehabilitation of its two primary runways and intersecting taxiways ensures continued safety, efficiency, and reliability for commercial and general aviation operations.

Atlantic Electric is providing medium-voltage service to temporary batch plants and security facilities, replacing light cans and conduits through core drilling and saw-cutting, and installing new counterpoise and grounding systems. The work includes LED upgrades to runway centerline, touchdown zone, and edge lighting, along with vault modifications, CCR adjustments, and photometric testing. Integration of new cabling with existing vault infrastructure enhances system durability and airfield lighting performance.
